Aimed at cadets aged 16+ who can engage at a greater level in a subject of personal interest which they may not normally be able to, developing independent project skills alongside a Level 3 qualification that can make the different in future job/educational applications.
This is the first classification you can obtain and should take between 4-6 months after you join. You will study a wide range of subjects, both in formal lessons and with hands on training.
This should take approximately a year after becoming 1st Class.
At this point you will begin to narrow down the subject that you take, but will study them in more detail. There are 12 subjects to choose from, of which only 3 will be studied. Again this should take about 1 year after you become a Leading Air Cadet.
Continuing from Senior, you will study a further 3 subjects, from the 12 available to you. You must be a minimum of 15 years to achieve this. Again this should take about 1 year after you become a Senior Air Cadet. Upon completion of your Master Air Cadet training you will be eligible for a BTEC Certificate in Aviation Studies.
Cadets successfully completing the Method of Instruction course are awarded the yellow Instructor Cadet lanyard and are expected to deliver training on the Squadron. This may involve delivering elements of the classification syllabus to younger Cadets or providing instruction in a specialist area such as adventure training.
A large proportion of the training is conducted in the field, using military skills and scenarios. It runs between September and April each year and provides training in leadership, management and life skills for Cadet SNCOs aged 17+.
Successful cadets are awarded the maroon Junior Leaders lanyard and a special DZ Flash for their DPM Uniform. They also receive the Institute of Leadership and Management Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading.

The purpose of the course is to prepare instructors to run aerospace courses on the Squadron and the various Regional Activity Centres (RAC's) across the country.
Air Cadets offer a progressive St. Johns Ambulance First Aid training scheme.
The training consists of a mixture of lessons on various injuries and conditions - including training on correctly informing the emergency services and also how to handle casualties properly - and practical theoretical scenarios where the cadets can put their training into practice as if it is a real life situation.
This Qualification is one of the many qualifications which cadets can take with them out of the corps to help them with their life beyond - adding to their portfolio of skills which may help them for future employment.

The aim of this award is to provide enhanced first aid training.
The aim of this award is to provide comprehensive first aid training. The qualification is equivalent to First Aid at Work
This award provides training that will allow a cadet to become an instructor and assessor for Youth First Aid. In order to gain this award the cadet must be a minimum of 16 years of age, a master cadet, and has achieved their silver - Activity First Aid Course. This course takes place over a week long residential.
